Finish The Fight

A parody of Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, reimagined with autism-friendly food, fidget tools, and a sign that says “NOT A CULT. JUST REASONABLE.” Centre figure modeled on Kieron JH.

We weren’t leaving. We were rebreathing.

I took a few quiet days to rest. Ignored the inbox, let the updates slow down, and just gave myself some space to breathe. It’s easy to get caught in constant motion, convincing yourself that movement equals progress. But sometimes stepping back is what keeps things steady. A few days of stillness can do more good than a month of running on fumes.

What’s been sitting with me isn’t the music from Halo 3, but the ending itself. That last Warthog run through the collapsing ring, everything breaking apart but the path still visible just far enough ahead to keep moving. That sequence isn’t really about chaos. It’s about composure. About trusting that you’ve done enough groundwork to steer through what’s coming without losing your head.

That’s what this pause was for. Not defeat, not retreat, just balance. Making sure the next steps are measured instead of rushed. Making sure the energy behind it is clean. I’ve learned that rest doesn’t weaken momentum, it protects it. And clarity only shows up when you actually make room for it.

So I’m not calling this a comeback. There’s nothing to come back from. Things are moving in the right direction, and taking a few quiet days was part of that. You can’t finish the fight if you burn yourself out halfway through. Sometimes finishing strong just means breathing right.

Steady hands. Clear mind. Back to work.
