Terms of Use

Last updated: January 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of thereasonableadjustment.co.uk (the Site). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

We may restrict access to protect the Site, its users, and its operator. Access is granted on a conditional basis and can be withdrawn.

2. Operator and Contact

The Site is operated by Kieron JH, independent advocate and founder of The Reasonable Adjustment. Contact: [email protected].

The Site is independent and not affiliated with any government body, regulator, political party, or commercial provider.

3. Definitions

  • Content means all text, graphics, design elements, structure, compilation, data, layout, and materials on the Site, including articles, images, and page templates.
  • Automated Access includes bots, scrapers, crawlers (other than permitted public search engine crawlers), scripts, headless browsers, and any tool that requests pages without a normal human browsing flow.
  • Security Controls includes rate limits, challenges, interstitials, JavaScript checks, bot mitigation, fingerprinting, and any access control logic implemented at the edge or origin.
  • Abusive Use includes surveillance-style access, profiling, repeated probing, data harvesting, intimidation, interference, or attempts to bypass controls.

4. Intellectual Property and Rights

Unless stated otherwise, all original Content is owned by Kieron JH and The Reasonable Adjustment. This includes copyright, design rights, and where applicable database rights and rights in compilation and selection.

The name The Reasonable Adjustment, associated branding, and design tokens are protected identifiers. You must not use them in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership, or affiliation.

You may share public pages for non commercial purposes with clear attribution and a direct link to the original page. You must not copy, reproduce, mirror, frame, republish, sell, or systematically extract Content without prior written permission.

Open source tools (including NeutroFilter) are governed by their stated licenses. Those licenses apply only to the tool code, not to the Site’s compilation, branding, or written Content.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Site lawfully and in good faith. You must not:

  • Engage in Automated Access without prior written permission
  • Scrape, harvest, or extract Content or data at scale, including via APIs, RSS, HTML parsing, or screenshots used for re-publication
  • Use the Site for surveillance, profiling, intelligence gathering, or evidence harvesting against the operator or other individuals
  • Probe, scan, or test for vulnerabilities, or attempt to bypass Security Controls
  • Interfere with availability through load testing, denial of service behaviour, or high frequency navigation patterns
  • Attempt to de anonymise, correlate, or re identify any security, analytics, or access telemetry
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent affiliation
  • Harass, intimidate, or target individuals associated with the Site

If your behaviour matches Abusive Use, access may be restricted or blocked without notice.

6. Security Controls and Access Conditions

The Site may require browsers to complete checks (including JavaScript based checks, challenges, or interstitials) before access to certain areas. You agree not to bypass or attempt to bypass these controls.

Some areas may be subject to additional friction (such as delays, redirects, or temporary blocks) based on risk signals, including network level risk, request patterns, or suspicious navigation.

This section exists to be explicit: attempts to evade controls are treated as unauthorised access behaviour.

7. Logging, Monitoring, and Evidence Preservation

For security and safeguarding, access is logged. Logs may include IP address, approximate location, user agent, referrer, ASN or network information, request patterns, and interaction with Security Controls.

Passive fingerprinting and behavioural analysis may be used to detect fraud and abuse. Logging and monitoring are carried out in line with our Privacy Policy. Infrastructure and analytics may include providers such as Cloudflare for security and performance and Plausible for privacy respecting analytics.

Where misuse is suspected, we may preserve logs and related evidence for a reasonable period, including for civil enforcement, safeguarding, and reporting to relevant third parties.

8. Requests, Submissions, and Sensitive Data

If you contact us, you confirm your message is accurate and lawful. Do not send special category data unless we have explicitly agreed in writing to handle it for a defined purpose. Unsolicited sensitive data may be deleted for safety and minimisation.

If you need to disclose sensitive material for a rights based or safeguarding purpose, ask first so we can agree the channel and scope.

9. Third Party Links and Embeds

The Site may link to third party websites or embed third party services. We do not control third party content, policies, or availability. Use third party services at your own risk.

10. Disclaimers

Content is provided for information and public interest purposes. It is not legal advice, medical advice, or professional advice. You should obtain independent advice before acting on information from the Site.

We do not warrant that Content is complete, current, or error free. We may correct or update content at any time.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator and contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site. Your use of the Site is at your own risk.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Enforcement, Remedies, and Reporting

We may restrict, suspend, or block access at our discretion where behaviour is unlawful, abusive, or harmful.

Where appropriate, we may pursue civil remedies. This can include seeking injunctive relief, damages, and recovery of reasonable costs arising from misuse, including costs of investigation and mitigation.

We may report misuse to relevant third parties, including hosting providers, network operators, security vendors, and where necessary competent authorities.

13. Notices and Takedown Requests

If you believe Content infringes your rights, contact us with enough detail to identify the material and the basis of your request. We may request verification and supporting evidence. We may refuse requests that are vague, abusive, or designed to suppress lawful public interest discussion.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Site.

16. General

  • Severability: if any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver: failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
  • Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement for Site use.
