What this is

UKPharmacyWatch.org is a new public interest accountability platform and a dedicated arm of The DEFCON Initiative. It exists to document what official channels ignore, to archive what gets quietly deleted, and to make accountability unavoidable.

The site can also be reached via ukpw.org if you prefer speed over syllables.

Why now

• Patient data and complaint handling are routinely mishandled or delayed. People notice. We document.
• Ownership and subcontracting webs hide conflicts of interest. We map them and publish the links.
• Policies say one thing while practice does another. We collect evidence and line them up side by side.

DEFCON is not performance. It is a method. Calm, lawful, relentless.

Scope and focus

• Data governance and privacy controls that affect patients and staff
• Complaint handling and redress that goes nowhere or loops forever
• Ownership, partnerships, and vendor chains that shape decision making
• Clinical safety flags that linger without transparent action

Expect timelines, primary source documents, and side by side comparisons that anyone can verify.

How we work

• Evidence first FOI requests, public records, primary documents, and technical logs where applicable.
• Right of reply Organisations will be given a fair chance to respond. Silence will be recorded.
• Redaction discipline We remove personal data that is not essential to the story.
• Version control Edits are logged. Corrections are visible. Receipts are kept.

We value accuracy over speed. When we publish, it is because the work is done.

Active development is underway. Target launch is before 1 November 2025. We will post milestone updates and a short public roadmap as modules are locked in.

• Whistleblowers If you hold documents that serve the public interest, get in touch. We will work with you to protect privacy while preserving evidence.
• Patients and staff Share dates, letters, and outcomes. Specifics matter. Vague stories do not move regulators.
• Regulators and auditors If you want context for a case, ask. We prefer collaboration over gotchas.
