Accessibility has always been central to the purpose of The Reasonable Adjustment. This platform exists to make difficult conversations about rights, law, and advocacy more open and inclusive. With that in mind, I am planning to expand the accessibility features on the site in the coming weeks, provided I can dedicate the necessary time to it.
AI Reading Assistants
One of the most immediate changes I am exploring is the introduction of AI-powered reading assistants. These tools can transform written content into spoken audio, allowing visitors who struggle with screen-based reading to engage with the site in a way that works for them. This could be especially valuable for people with visual impairments, processing differences, or simply those who find text-heavy pages difficult to navigate.
Communication Needs
I also understand that some people may struggle with written communication. Nobody should be held back from engaging with free support because of how they process information. At the same time, I have my own communication needs to consider. Written correspondence remains my primary method, both for clarity and for legal accuracy. However, I am actively looking into potential solutions that bridge the gap – ways for people who find writing difficult to still get their voices heard without putting either side at a disadvantage.
