Also known as: Kieron
My name is Kieron, founder of The Reasonable Adjustment, an independent advocacy platform focused on disability rights, accessibility, and accountability.
I was diagnosed autistic in 2013, although the signs were present from a young age. Crowds, loud noises, and unfamiliar environments were difficult to manage. I spent my entire education in the special educational needs system. I want to dispel a common misconception about the SEND system. It does not mean you are “thick”, “dull”, or “dumb”. Many students thrive there, and some of the staff, particularly therapists, are among the most caring professionals I have met.
The Reasonable Adjustment exists because a simple idea stayed with me. Be the change you want to see in the world. For years I struggled to find the outlet that would give me real purpose. Building this platform gave me that purpose. It is honest, it is sometimes contentious, and it aims to move the needle in practical ways.
What sets my work apart is lived experience, not corporate jargon. I understand the barriers disabled people face because I have faced them. That fuels a persistent drive to solve problems in ways that matter.
