There isn’t currently a way to donate to support the site. It’s entirely self-funded. I’ve thought about adding donations as costs increase, but that’s a conversation for another time.
Right now, this Proton referral is the first “support” option I’ve offered at all, and I’m only doing it because I genuinely rate Proton as a product.

If you sign up through that link and later choose a paid plan, we both receive Proton credits. That helps offset some of the real operating costs behind ki-ki.co.uk and thereasonableadjustment.co.uk.
What is Proton?
Proton started with encrypted email and expanded into a full privacy-focused suite. It’s designed to be usable day-to-day, not just “secure on paper”.
What Proton offers
- Proton Mail, encrypted email with solid apps and custom domain support on paid plans.
- Proton Calendar, encrypted calendar.
- Proton Drive, encrypted storage and sharing.
- Proton VPN, a convenient integrated VPN option.
- Proton Pass, password manager.
- SimpleLogin, email aliasing (now part of Proton’s ecosystem).
- Proton Wallet, a self-custodial Bitcoin wallet.
- Plans and pricing, if you want to compare tiers.
Security note
Proton is strong, but nothing is 100% secure. Your device can be compromised, you can be phished, recovery options can be abused, and “encrypted” doesn’t magically fix bad operational security. Proton improves your baseline, it doesn’t grant invincibility.
VPN note
For VPN specifically, I still recommend Mullvad. If you want the longer version, I’ve written it up here:
The quick version
- No donations, no paywalls. The sites are self-funded.
- This referral link is the first support option I’ve offered, because I actually value Proton.
- If you later subscribe, we both get Proton credits.
