If you’ve noticed things slowing down lately, you’re not wrong. About three weeks ago, I managed to pick up a double hand/wrist injury. Typing, gripping, opening bottles, even basic tasks turned into a daily challenge. At the same time, a few tech issues flared up, and I only just managed to fix them before the weekend.
My usual workflow involved caffeine-fuelled sessions after the gym, tearing through emails and articles like a man on a mission. But for once, I took a deliberate pause. Not just to heal, but to give the opposition a brief window to come up with some valid arguments instead of scrambling around with straw men and projection. They’ve had their chance. It didn’t help.
In the meantime, I’ve kept busy behind the scenes. With a healthy backlog of content already published, I shifted my focus to back-end work:
- Reinforced our security stack using a fully upgraded Cloudflare Worker
- Improved SEO across high-performing and evergreen articles
- Started liaising with third parties to expand the site viewership
- Tracked, documented and fingerprinted enough traffic to make an analyst blush
The site is now faster, safer, and more resilient. And my hands? Almost back to full strength. If you’ve messaged or emailed recently, I appreciate your patience. Replies will be gradually rolling out from now as I catch up.
The break might’ve been tactical, but the return is intentional.
Finish the fight.
